Legalizing marijuana in the United States has been a heated topic of debate in recent times. When asked the question, "Do you think legalizing marijuana would be beneficial to the United States?" students at Frostburg State University all agreed that the legalization of marijuana would likely help the U.S. economy.
Kate Nyers, a Business major from Waldorf, Maryland in her junior year at FSU stated, "Yeah, I do actually. The amount of government taxes would increase the amount of money the government makes annually."
Kathleen May, a sophomore Early Childhood Education major from Baltimore, Maryland, said, "I'm impartial really because I don't smoke it. It might help the economy, but I think some people would still buy it on the black market."
Brittany McDowney, a sophomore majoring in Early Childhood education from Silver Spring, Maryland, stated, "I don't really care if it is legalized. It probably would help the economy though."
