President Mitch Daniels?

Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, who served as Director of the Office of Management and Budget under George W. Bush, is making moves to run for the Presidency in 2012. So far he, and a number of other sitting governors including Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota and Haley Barbour of Mississippi, has met with a number of top donors and GOP strategists. The dinners he has had with party big-wigs have not been to ensure support at this early stage, but to get his name recognition up amoung party donors, insiders, loyalists, and volunteers. He and many others are putting off their decisions until after the midterms which could see the Republicans take control of the House of Representatives.
