Church Remembers by Burning Holy Books
A Florida church has plans to remember the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks by setting fire to qurans. The plans have come under criticism by the U.S. as well as religious leaders, who see this act as a detriment to U.S. relations with the Middle East. Many believe it would hurt those in the armed forces that are located in the Middle East, where tensions could escalate and the troops could face worsened fighting conditions.
